Meet Root Teklemariam - Visionary for Black Roots

It’s the love for my Eritrean roots and my husband's Ghanaian roots which fuels the cohesive effort that is Black Roots. Mesmerized by the colors and patterns utilized by artisans in Africa, I noticed the joy I would feel amongst a fabric I particularly favored in the marketplaces of Ghana. This joy inspired me to work with these beautiful people and to spread the joy at home. Black Roots is about celebrating African culture and empowerment. We are proud to be black owned, woman-owned, and to support employment and artistry in African countries.
